Effects of Sidestream cigarette smoke extract (Ss) on IL-8 production from IL-1β-activated
HMC-1 cells. To each well of a 6-well culture plate, two ml of HMC-1 (1 × 106 cells/ml) were cultured alone (Medium), or in the presence of IL-1β (10 ng/ml), and
the combinations of IL-1β with different concentrations of Ss for 24 hrs in triplicate.
Supernatants were harvested for measuring IL-8 by ELISA.
